My story
I started my career in European PR agencies, where I developed a passion for storytelling and how it brings businesses to life. Over 11 years, I worked with multinational corporations, local businesses, and start-ups, honing my ability to craft messages that resonate authentically.

Now, as the founder of Crabapple Communications, I’ve spent the past five years helping service-based businesses articulate their value in a way that connects with customers and drives meaningful growth.

Early in my career, working for large corporations made me feel like just a cog in the machine. No matter how hard I worked, I couldn’t make a real difference. That frustration pushed me to strike out on my own when the opportunity arose. Now, I get to partner with businesses whose work I truly believe in—helping them clarify their marketing strategy and make a lasting impact.​

My background
My ability to see the bigger picture makes me a strong strategist. I’ve always been fascinated by how different elements fit together—whether in storytelling, business, or marketing.

I studied French and German at the University of Oxford, where I explored the complexities of literature and history. My career began in European PR agencies, where I spent seven years mastering the power of storytelling in marketing.

After moving to the US in 2015, I became Head of Marketing at a hospitality technology start-up before founding Crabapple Communications. Since 2020, I’ve worked with service-based businesses to uncover the most effective marketing strategies tailored to their needs.

Why crabapples?
I get asked this question quite a lot so I thought I would lay out my reasons. As a transplant from England, they are one of the few trees in Colorado's Front Range that reminds me of home. The crabapple is a resilient little survivor: in Golden the flora has to contend with snow, biting winds, blazing sun, and semi-arid conditions.
Despite all this, the crabapple thrives, and moreover, it is a versatile plant with something to show off in every season. This is why I have five in my garden and chose to name my company after them. And I really like alliteration.
